The pictures of fabrics, handmade handbags and purses that you see on our website are photographs we've taken of each individual handbag and fabric. The colors and tones that you see on your screen may vary slightly from the physical fabric depending on the ambient light in the room, the tilt of your monitor, and color and contrast settings of your computer. Every effort has been made to ensure that our photographs are color balanced correctly and show bags as they appear in person. We carefully write our descriptions to reinforce the same standard. Each Bari J. is a handmade handbag, therefore slight variances in color, size etc will occur. Since custom orders are non-returnable and because we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of a custom-designed or ready-made Bari J. product, we urge you to contact us if you have any questions at all regarding any of the fabrics, colors, and textures, or are unsure of any aspect of your bag.
Vintage & New Accessories
Most Bari J. handbags come with a vintage or new accessory. These pieces vary and are chosen by the designer specifically for each handbag. We will do all we can to honor special requests. However, due to availability of these items we can not guarantee these requests will be met. Additionally, although we carefully look over each of the vintage accessories for sturdiness so they are useful as well as beautiful on our handbags, we ask that you take special care of these items. The nature of some vintage items can be fragile. If you prefer a new accessory please request so in the comment window at checkout.
Bari J. Features and Construction
~ We rigorously test each model for durability and practicality.
~ The materials we choose for our handbags are heavily backed for durability.
~ Most of our handbags close with a magnetic closure.
~ The Lizzie makeup bag closes with a sturdy snap.
~ All of the pieces with a flat bottom have purse feet to keep your purchase tidy.
~ Most Bari J. pieces come with an interior patch pocket with a section for sunglasses/cell phone etc.
~ The Anna Shopper, Emily Tote, Lori Tote, Isabelle Messenger Bag come with a gathered pocket in a contrast fabric on the rear of the bag.
~ The patchwork Lara has a gathered pocket on the front.~ Our straps and handles are leather except on the Isabelle Messenger which is fabric.
How To Order
All purchases from barijonline.com are securely processed by MasterCard, Visa, or PayPal.
To use PayPal, select the PayPal option in the drop down menu of payment types and process the order. You will receive a PayPal invoice within 24 hours.
Credit card authorization and verification must be received before orders will be processed. When your order is processed, we will send you a shipping notification email.
If you would prefer to pay by check send us an email.
Turnaround Time
Each "Ready-to-Buy" handbag will be shipped the next business day. Orders are shipped Mondays - Fridays. Orders placed after 1pm PST will be processed and shipped out on the next business day. (Example: An order for "Next Day" shipping placed on Monday at 3pm will be shipped on Tuesday and received on Wednesday.)
Because each of our "Design Your Own" handbags are made to your specifications, they require just a little extra time. "Design Your Own" handbags will be shipped within 30 business days of date of order. But we promise, they're worth the wait! Please send us an email if you have questions or special requests.
Shipping
All orders within the continental US are shipped by UPS ground. Orders of $100 or over shipped UPS ground to the lower 50 United States are free of charge. Overnight delivery is available in the continental US but extra charges may apply. UPS does not ship to P.O. boxes. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are sent by air parcel post or by global express mail and extra charges may apply. Please contact us for details regarding shipments outside of the United States.
We now ship internationally via USPS to Canada, Australia, Japan and most of Europe. Please note: Once your package reaches it's destination, it is turned over to the local Postal Service and held until it clears customs. It may be subject to additional duties and/or taxes, which are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Bari J. can not take any responsibility for such duties and/or taxes.
Sales Tax
California residents are required to pay sales tax on all purchases.
Return Policy
Online Purchases: We accept unused merchandise purchased online for exchange or credit refund within 14 days of shipping date when accompanied by original receipt. A $10 return handling fee will apply and shipping is non-refundable. Return instructions will be included with shipment of online purchase. Custom orders placed online, in a store carrying Bari J., during a local show, or at home party are considered final sales and MAY NOT be returned. In-Store Purchases: If you have purchased a ready-made Bari J. piece at a store carrying our line, the policy of the store in which you purchased a ready-made Bari J. applies. Check with the particular store of purchase if you have any questions.
Privacy Policy
We neither sell nor share your information with outside companies or third parties. When you purchase from our online store, we collect your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. You provide this information so we can process and ship your order. We respect your privacy by not selling or sharing this information.

We understand that you are concerned about the security of the information you transmit over the internet. We take all steps possible to ensure that your credit card and personal information is kept safe and secure. We utilize Yahoo Store's secure shopping cart to process your order.
We use industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol with a 128-bit encryption to ensure the highest level of protection. SSL technology takes your order and scrambles, or encrypts, it to ensure that it cannot be read while being transferred. SSL uses a Digital Certificate to verify who we are and to encrypt and decipher your order so that only we can read it.
Your information is then stored and protected on Yahoo's secure servers. For additional security, your credit card information is deleted from the servers after 30 days.
